This week is the International week of entrepreneurship from Nov 18 to Nov 25, 2013.

For the 6th year now, the "Journées des entrepreneurs" association, led by Grégoire SENTILHES, organises one of the leading conferences in France on entrepreneurship. Success grows each year for this conference, that now takes place at Bercy, the French ministry for Economy and finance.

Grégoire SENTILHES is also the president of the G20 YEA in France and NextStage. EDHEC Business School was lucky to host the G20 YES in Nice in november 2012, that gathered 400 young entrepreneurs from all over the world.

This year, the title of the 6th annual conference for entrepreneurs was "Why, in a reinventing world, are entrepreneurs the first job creators in France and in Europe ?"

There is a strong focus on Europe :

François BIEBER, the president of Kwako and sherpa of the French YES delegation in Moscow, and Hélène SAINT-LOUBERT, president of Grenade & Sparks, stated that the French entrepreneurs during the G20 YEA in Moscow asked for harmonisation in Europe.

Pierre GATTAZ, the president of the main French entrepreneurs union MEDEF, said that entrepreneurs were "modern times heroes" and that "we fundamentally need Europe. We need social, fiscal and legal harmonisation in EUrope".

Ramon FERNANDEZ, representing Pierre MOSCOVICI, the Minister for economy and finance, said that "We will be strong in France if Europe is strong".

The organisers also invited Werner HOYER, the president of the European Investment Bank. EIB focuses on SMEs because a number of research papers show that these are the main job creators. M. HOYER showed that the EIB strongly enhanced its budget to support entrepreneurship, especially for young entrepreneurs.

This year, the 6th annual conference for entrepreneurs even decided to have a specific session, from 4.15 to 5 PM, about "Europe and entrepreneurs". How, concretely, does Europe put small and medium size entreprises's growth and job creation at the heart of ots policy ?  In a fully transforming world, why should public powers concretely support entrepreneurs". With the exceptionnal participation of Antonio TAJANI, the European commissioner in charge of industry and entrepreneurship, and a debate with 3 entrepreneurs present in Moscow for the G20 summit, Nicolas CAPPELAERE, the creator of INELDEA laboratories, Hadj KHELIL, President of Bionoor, and Boris SARAGAGLIA, president of Spartoo".
